Melisa was born in Izmir but spent most of her life moving around Europe. She always had her house in Cesme to come back to in the summer. Her summers were spent there, on her grandparents patio, eating good food, enjoying the sun and the wind. It’s the one place she truly felt back to her true self.
It was all simple there. It was good food without the fuss, enjoyable moments around the table, loud conversations and comfortable silences. Elsewhere it all felt so fussy, if it was good food it was just too fancy and if it was real local food it wasn’t accessible outside of little villages.
She quit her marketing job in Paris with a mission to make good food accessible. Making good ingredients available, showing up in the way that most consumers would expect for a food brand to show up in the 21st century.
